Abstract

The action of the family in all the chronic processes of the patient is essential, due to the changes that the patient presents both in his activities of daily living and in his state of mind. Also the perception of life and its environment changes and, of course, physical changes inherent to the pathology take place, in this case CRF in treatment with Hemodialysis (HD). Therefore, it is interesting and important to observe the feeling of support and support that kidney patients have in a care center undergoing hemodialysis treatment by their family, taking into account the length of treatment, the patient's age and gender. We will assess the feeling of support according to the involvement of the family in issues that encompass the holistic aspect of the person, the family member's knowledge of mood swings, behavior, involvement in medical visits and their concerns in hemodialysis sessions. In this way, we can get a clear idea of ​​how family support evolves and presents itself, so essential for the good acceptance of treatment by the patient.
